QAQC SERVICES
Did you know that MEG offers blind insertion services of QAQC materials? As part of the assay protocol, the lab can ship prepped pulps to MEG, we inventory pulps, assuring accuracy and insert standards of your choice at intervals specified by your program, once the lab has already prepped the pulps for analysis. This can help ensure a complete blind standard analysis as one of the samples and avoids any accidental loss of the standard in the prep process at the lab. If quality assurance is critical to your results, quality control and handling is also. Contact us to ask about having this service 'inserted' into your lab protocol.
Moment Exploration Geochemistry (MEG) provides quality geochemistry services, products and tools to the global precious metal and environmental industries. MEG is entirely located in the state of Nevada and is one of few mining related businesses that is female owned. With a combined 25 year history of services and experience in the metals industry, MEG offers unparalleled expertise in providing quality Reference Materials (RM) and geochemical analysis. MEG is an independent sample preparation laboratory working closely with several associate laboratories to provide geochemical data for the mining and environmental industries.
Initially established by Shea Clark Smith in 1984, MEG is now highly regarded for sample preparation, quality control, and geochemical interpretation. In 2020 Mr. Smith decided to pursue retirement and had the desire to have the services that MEG, Inc. provided, carried on by the next generation. At that time, Shea trained and handed off the business of creating reference materials to Ajeet Milliard who is now sole owner of MEG, LLC (as well as a geologist, mother, outdoor enthusiast, dog-mom, and traveler). MEG is one of few companies producing geochemical reference material from the United States and stands out from other providers by offering personalized consultation services in addition to product. MEG has the technical expertise to offer customized product for metals exploration and production or environmental needs.
In addition to providing reference materials, MEG can also provide double-blind, QAQC to a drill program. By having QAQC samples inserted at specified intervals by a party outside the assay lab, results of the QAQC program are more robust. MEG production labs has completed the transition from its former home in western Nevada to the eastern side of Nevada. Full scale production has commenced and stay tuned for new inventory to be added soon....in fact, it has already begun!
